The Textile Technology section provides a wide range of services to the handloom and power loom fabrics manufacturing industries in Sri Lanka. Both conventional and modern textile manufacturing machinery are available in the spinning, Waving, Knitting & Processing workshops where trainees are able to learn the mechanisms related to their specific textile subjects in the areas of conversion of fibres into fabrics in the value chain. In addition, the textile technology section caters to the public institutions and private manufacturing organizations for their requirements in the areas of technical consultancy and technical partnering in the discipline of textile technology and management.
