The Leather & Footwear section was setup by SLITA to provide training in both designing and manufacturing technology and also to fulfill the growing needs of skilled manpower. The state-of-the-art technology and machinery along with the skills of practicing professionals is ready to advance the industry further by producing industry-ready personnel aimed at the local and global export market. This unique opportunity also promises to open- up employment opportunities for the Sri Lankan youth who wish to embark their career in leather and footwear industry.
