An awareness session and workshop visit were organized by the Career Guidance Centre for Home Science teachers and staff of the Teacher Training Centre on December 19, 2025, at SLITA.
The Director General Mr.Naleen Gamlath, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of the textile and apparel sector in shaping career opportunities for school leavers.
He highlighted how the industry offers diverse and sustainable career pathways for future generations.
Mr. Ilangovan, Director Technical and Training, conducted a specialized awareness session titled “Fiber to Textile Manufacture.” The programme provided participants with valuable insights into textile manufacturing processes and related career prospects.
