The inauguration of the Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design & Product Development (NVQ Level 6) – Full-Time Batch 2026/2028 was successfully held on 27th April 2026 at the SLITA New Auditorium.

The event was graced by Director General Mr. Tharanga Naleen Gamlath, Director (Technical & Training) Mr. S. Ilangovan, Director (Operations) Ms. Nidarshani Perera, and Registrar Mr. K.G. Britto, along with all Heads of Departments.

We were privileged to have our Guest Speaker, Ms. Purnika Malalanayake, Global Lingerie Technical Manager at Lindex, who shared her valuable industry knowledge and inspired the students.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rukshini De Silva (Course Coordinator) and Ms. Geethika Fernando (Course Co-Coordinator), with the participation of students and parents, making the event a memorable occasion.
