Diploma Awarding Ceremony - 2026 | SLITA | Sri Lanka Institute of Textile & Apparel

Sri Lanka Institute of Textile & Apparel (SLITA) organized its Diploma Awarding Ceremony 2026 on 4th June 2026 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

The event aimed to honor the diploma awardees and witnessed the graduation of 596 students who successfully completed various Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Higher National Diploma courses in the fields of textile, apparel, fashion design, product development, merchandising, quality assurance, and industrial engineering.

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, J. M. Thilaka Jayasundara, Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development and Chairperson of SLITA.

The event was also attended by the Board of Governors of SLITA, the Director General, Directors, distinguished guests from the textile and apparel industry, Heads of the Departments and all staff members of SLITA.

The keynote speech was delivered by C. Mahesh Edirisinghe, Professor in Engineering Physics at the University of Colombo.

The ceremony concluded successfully with warm wishes for the future endeavors and continued success of the diploma awardees and the institute.
