Opening of Third Center Under the Program of Establishing Batik, Handloom Apparel Product Sales and Training centers Island Wide

His Excellency the President's Vision of Prosperity will be implemented in line with the Policy Statement with a view to strengthening the People's Economy and promoting local apparel among the people, the third center for the year 2021 under the program of establishing batik, handloom apparel product sales and training centers island wide will be opened today (Oct. 24) at 2 p.m. 1.00 p.m by Dayasiri Jayasekara, Minister of State for Batik, Handloom Textiles and Local Apparel Manufacturing.

Resource contribution for all training activities of this Textile Service Center established in Polgahawela area with the Department of North Western Industrial Development with the provisions of the State Ministry of Batik, Handloom Textiles and Local Garment Production provided by the Textile and Garment Institute of Sri Lanka.

The Hon. Secretary to the State Ministry of Batik Handloom Textiles and Local Apparel Products as well as the Hon. Chairman of our Institute, The Hon. Chairman of the North Western Provincial Council, the Organizer of the Polgahawela Electorate of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and many other Members of Parliament, the Divisional Secretary and members of the Regional Development Committees as well as the Director General of our Institute and the Director of Operations and many other government officials were present.
